Pastor Chris' Letter April 2016

Dear Trinity Family,
I hope that you are enjoying the warmer weather. I wanted to let you know that just like in many of our homes, our church needs a good spring cleaning with minor repairs here and there so that we can be good stewards of our building. Because of that, we will be having a volunteer work week the first week of May to maintain our buildings and grounds. We will have a variety of jobs (for all skill levels),  and these jobs will be spread throughout the week so that we can accommodate multiple schedules.
Some of these jobs will help prepare us for some of the trustee’s larger projects this spring. For instance, we will be painting the hallway and classrooms below the sanctuary in preparation for new carpet. These small repairs enable us to keep our church clean and nice for our guests and helps us maintain this building for another generation. I would love it if you could find time during this week to pitch in and help as we keep our church clean and beautiful. Be on the lookout for more information on specific projects schedules as we get closer.
I would also like to thank everyone who helped to make this Lenten season so meaningful and memorable. The season started with an awesome Ash Wednesday worship and finished with an amazing Holy Week that included a special Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and Easter services, as well as, a Holy Thursday dinner and prayer stations. My personal favorite part of the Lenten season (only because of the joy it brought my three year old) was a marvelous opportunity for the families of the church to gather for a special Easter egg hunt. I want to personally thank our wonderful and talented staff and leaders who helped bring everything together. Also, I would like to thank all those who worked to put together Easter eggs, cleaned bathrooms for guests, brought together a marvelous meal, helped set up prayer stations, lead us in worship, provided music, invited friends and family, and especially everyone who  participated in this marvelous Lenten journey. Thank you all!
